GLOSSARY

1. Business registration certificate - this is a document provided by the government to authorize the operation of a business.
2. Certificate of incorporation - this is a legal license to form a corporation issued by the government.
3. KYC - Know Your Customer in full. It is the mandatory process of identifying and verifying the client's identity.
4. MSISDN Prefixes - Mobile Station Integrated Services Digital Network prefixes is a unique number that identifies a subscriber on a network.
5. Rates - also known as pay per use texting is the amount of money charged for sending an SMS.
6. ShortCode - this is a 5 or 6 digit phone number that is used by organizations to send text messages at scale.
7. SenderID - this is the text display name that you see at the top of your phone's screen and is used to identify who sent the message.
8. Telcos - this refers to the different service providers e.g. Safaricom and Airtel.
9. Telcos service - this refers to SenderID and ShortCode.
